Congress moves to ban terror weapon
Congress recently moved to expand the proposed reach of H.R. 1808 by adding a new terror weapon that the original bill overlooked.
“I’ve spoken about the need to ban 30-caliber magazine clips that shoot in a half second,” said California State Senator Kevin de Leon. “The Red Ryder’s 200 clip magazine is an even bigger high-caliber weapon and clearly even more extra deadly dangerous.”
Representative Carolyn McCarthy added her support, saying, “The Red Ryder adds an extra level of danger that has no purpose in civilian hands. Having a compass in the stock and this thing that tells time is even worse than a shoulder thing that goes up.”
Black Bart was unavailable for comment but a spokesperson for the gang expressed their approval of the addition. "Our organization has long suffered the menace of streets awash in these terror weapons. We applaud our representatives for authoring such an effective gun safety measure."

On a more (somewhat) serious note, Brickwurx offers their take on the idea, chambered in 223 Wylde.
American Gunsmith has a write-up on this scheduled for 2023.
